This morning, we heard the audio released by Sahara Reporters purported to be Rivers state governor, Wike threatening to kill an INEC official. The Rivers state government has reacted to this, saying Wike's was impersonated and blamed APC. Read the statement below... Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose on Thursday stormed the Ado-Ekiti branch of the Zenith Bank to make withdrawal from his hitherto frozen account following a Federal High Court order asking the bank to de-freeze the governor’s account. Governor Fayose who made a withdrawal of N5 million in cash thanked Nigerians for standing with him and against the recklessness of the EFCC. A Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti had on Tuesday, ordered that Governor Fayose's accounts in Zenith Bank be defrozen with immediate effect. The accounts were frozen by the EFCC in June, this year. The judge said the EFCC action breac.hed the governor's fundamental rights to fair hearing, as the commission did not make him a party to the proceedings for the interim freezing of the account. Msizi Mkhize, 28, was walking home with a friend when he was hit in Kwa-Mashu, a township north of the coastal city of Durban, last week. He was declared dead at the scene of the accident then his body was transported to the Phoenix mortuary, where his body was placed in a fridge. Imran Keeka, a provincial official for the opposition Democratic Alliance party, said Tuesday: “When his family arrived for identification purposes a pulse was found in the patient by mortuary staff, who then immediately transported him to Mahatma Gandhi hospital for resuscitation,” Msizi was resuscitated by nurses and his family was informed of his resuscitation. However, five hours later, Msizi unfortunately died. Understandably, his irate family are now demanding answers.
