The Lagos State Police Command has arrested and paraded street pop star, Adekunle Temitope, popularly known as Small Doctor, for unlawful possession of firearms and for allegedly threatening to shoot a police officer.  Edgal Imohimi, Lagos State Commissioner of Police confirmed his arrest moments ago while parading the musician along with three other persons. Small Doctor was arrested on allegations that he threatened a Police officer who was on traffic duty along Oshodi, Lagos.  “It was alleged that some unknown men, four of them, in an unregistered green SUV had brought out a gun and threatened a policeman that if he does not leave the road, they will shoot him. Believing that they were armed robbers, I sent out my men and fortunately, with the DPO in charge of Shogunle division, they were able to intercept them and the men were arrested and were brought down to the headquarters for interrogation. Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric was awarded the 2018 Ballon d'Or on Monday, becoming the first player not named Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to earn the honor since 2007.  Modric, 33, beat out Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann, respectively, for the illustrious prize. Both Ronaldo and Messi had won it five times apiece over a 10-year run, and all three men were named to France Football's 30-player shortlist in October. Messi's fifth-place finish is his worst since 2006 and it comes despite leading Barcelona to La Liga and Copa del Rey titles. The midfielder adds the award to his list of others accolades received this year, including UEFA Best Player, FIFA Best Men's Player and the Golden Ball at the World Cup. A woman has confessed she has sex with elves, revealing they have “glittery” sperm and are “very flexible”. A-27 year old student of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) simply identified as Adigun Olawale Emmanuel has reportedly committed suicide. The late Olawale was said to have failed in his final year project last session and was made to repeat the current one before his death. The deceased, from the Faculty of Agriculture, was believed to have died after he drank a pesticide, Sniper. It was gathered that he had a grade of Second Class Upper Division but that with the failed project he would necessarily have to drop to Second Class Lower Division. In a social media note left behind, the deceased indicated that he had been accused of ‘copy and paste’, in research his works. Some neighbours claimed the deceased had been subject to depression since he failed to make the last graduation list of the institution.
