Ex-Big Brother Naija contestant, Ekemini Ekerette, better known as Kemen, has apologised for sexually harassing fellow housemate TBoss before he was evicted from the show. Kemen was on Sunday found to have violated TBoss by touching her inappropriately without her consent. Consequently, he was evicted from the reality show/competition. His action had elicited furore among Nigerians and widespread condemnation, especially on social media. Gifty Powers, an upcoming actress, says the controversy generated by her claim not to know Banky W and Falz got her evicted from the Big Brother Naija show. In an interview with Bold Magazine, Gifty said she was “massively misunderstood” by her fellow housemates and the viewing public. “I would say that part of it actually got me out of the house and part of it was also the accent. I was massively misunderstood. Normally you don’t judge people, you get to know the person well enough before making decisions on their characters,” she said. “So I think I was quite judged and the Banky W and Falz drama, I was completely misunderstood. Nollywood Actor, Prince James Uche has passed on. The actor, who died today, Wednesday, 8th March, was meant to travel to India this Saturday, March 11th for his surgery, but sadly passed on today. The first international aircraft has landed in Kaduna International Airport ahead of the airport’s first international flight today. A ceremonial canon was used by the Airport fire fighters to welcome the plane. According to the Kaduna state government, Captain Alene who flew the first Boeing787 bird into Kaduna International Airport confirmed that the Airport Landing System is in an excellent shape. Nollywood actor Prince James Uche has died after battling diabetes and kidney disease for several years. According to the #SavePrinceJamesUche campaign, the 55-year-old actor died Wednesday afternoon while being taken to a private hospital in Festac, Lagos, for dialysis. Stephen Nyitse, 30, who was arrested last Saturday for sitting on the Tor Tiv’s throne just before he was installed has been hastily jailed for four years by a Chief Magistrate Court in Gboko, Benue State. The magistrate, Justice P.S Chaha, on Monday found the accused guilty of trespassing and impersonating the Tor Tiv, Orchivirigh James Ayatse. According to Premium Times, the prosecutor claimed that Nyitse confessed to the police during interrogation that he was under an evil spell.. Justice Chaha said his action was a disgrace to the Tiv nation and that he deserved no mercy. He said his sentence was to serve as a deterrent to others. Mr. Nyitse, at the JS Stadium Gboko, outsmarted security men and sat on the stool prepared for the coronation of the fifth Tor Tiv. Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic will serve a three-match ban for violent conduct following clashes with Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings on Saturday. The ban will begin with immediate effect. The Football Association released the following statement on Tuesday afternoon: “Zlatan Ibrahimovic will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after he admitted an FA charge of violent conduct and accepted the standard penalty. “It follows an incident in or around the 44th minute of the game between Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth on Saturday (4 March 2017). “The misconduct was not seen by the match officials at the time but caught on video.” United’s leading scorer will consequently miss the Emirates FA Cup tie at Chelsea, followed by the Premier League matches against Middlesbrough and West Brom. Yesterday,Justice Agatha A. Okeke of the Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, sentenced four suspected members of an oil syndicate Olusegun Gbenga, Yusuf Muhammed, Abass Auwal and Olanipekun Olagoke to 10years imprisonment on each of the 12-count charge of oil theft preferred against them by EFCC One of the counts reads: “That you, Olusegun Gbenga, Yusuf Muhammed, Abass Auwal and Olanipekun Olagoke, on the 12th day of May, 2014, at Toto Military check point in Nasarawa State, did, without lawful authority or an appropriate licence, deal in crude oil.” The sentences are to run concurrently.

A total of 171 Nigerians, comprising 95 females, including 12 girls, and 76 males, returned to the country from Libya on Tuesday. Last week, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, senior special assistant to the president on foreign affairs and diaspora, had said 180 Nigerians were being expected. 314 Nigerians have been forced to return to the country within two weeks, as a result of the harrowing experience in Libya.
