African Migrants Force Their Way Through Barbed Wire Fence Into Spain

About 220 African migrants on Monday forced their way through a barbed wire fence into Spain’s North African enclave of Cueta, clashing with Spanish police who tried to prevent them from crossing the border with Morocco. 32 migrants were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries after they pushed their way through two gates, while three Spanish policemen were also treated. Several of the migrants collapsed from exhaustion after crossing into Spanish territory.
