Daily Trust has obtained information that President Muhammadu Buhari is set to depart Nigeria on May 6 for the official visit to France.
The details of the state visit are yet to be made public, meanwhile, sources said President Buhari would sign the budget immediately before he travels.
At the same time the Federal government has outlined “34 strategic priority programmes and projects” that it intends to achieve beginning with the 2016 budget.

It’s not the first time President Buhari heads to France. Earlier he attended Climate Change Summit and addressed the Plenary Session of the European Union in Strasbour.
The Nigerian leader has so far visited 22 countries since he assumed the office on May 29, 2015.

Many Nigerians are not happy over his trips. During Buhari’s last trip Ayo Fayose, the governor of the Ekiti state, has even claimed that the president is visiting conferences he doesn’t understand.

Meanwhile, the presidency justified the trips, saying they were necessary to bring the country back on the track of development and growth.
