West Ham to dump Moses, Emenike

Nigerian duo, Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike are certainly on their way out from West Ham after a not-too-convincing performance at the club during the closing season.

West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan has revealed that the Hammers have made a big-money transfer bid for an unnamed striker.

The businessman not only confirmed that they made a move for an attacker, but also that they are planning another high-profile move later this week.
“We’ve put in a bid today for 30m euros for a player, and other bids will be going in,” Sullivan began. “We’re going to make a £20-25m for a player in England, may be later this week.

“So, whatever happens, we intend to bring a top striker in.”
Speculation is rife as to the identity of the hitmen referred to by Sullivan, with Liverpool’s Belgian flop Christian Benteke and Olympique de Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi—another Belgian—the two names prominently linked with a switch to East London.

This leaves the fate of the Nigerian internationals – Victor Moses, a Chelsea loanee and Emmanuel Emenike, also on loan from Turkish side, Fenerbahce hanging in the balance.

It is understood that Emenike who is yet to net a Premier League goal has not impressed club owners, but the highest point of his stay at West Ham was a brace against Blackburn Rovers in an FA Cup game.

On January 31, 2016, Emenike signed for West Ham United on loan until the end of the season with an option to make it permanent.
Moses’ season on the other hand has had his season plagued by injury. He has been on and off the first team and his performance has called to question his place in the club.

But informed sources said the Nigeria international wants a return to his parent club, a choice that corresponds with West Ham’s position.
