General TY Danjuma Flown Out Of Nigeria After Falling Sick

One of Nigeria’s richest retired military generals, Theophilus Danjuma, was flown out of Nigeria last week in an air ambulance, according to a report. It was learnt that the retired military officer, who has served in various capacities in government and also in the oil industry, fell seriously ill and had to be flown out on an air ambulance.

One of the family sources said no member of the family was aware of the retired general's final destination for treatment, but added there were strong indications that he was flown to Germany.

SaharaReporters could not ascertain the health status of the general as his wife, Daisy Danjuma, could not be reached to confirm General Danjuma’s condition.

However, a close friend of Mrs. Danjuma said General Danjuma only had a slight Malaria for which he is receiving treatment in the UAE. The source claimed Danjuma is expected back in Nigeria on Tuesday.

The Nigerian army said on Wednesday, that it had intercepted 37 people 37 people , who were suspected to be wives and children of the boko haram terrorists. The army spokesman, Brig.-Gen. A group of Nigerian youngsters sponsored by Lagos State Government and their coordinator, Professor Kolawole Raheem, were Thursday, received by head of unit; Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hannu Heinonen, at Finland. The participants, whose trip was funded by Lagos State Ministry of Education, were chosen based on their outstanding performance in school. The visit, however aims at enabling the youngsters have an experience of how the Finnish society works and to offer them the possibility of bringing positive examples back to Nigeria. The participants were especially interested in matters related to environment and construction, as well as the Finnish social security and education systems. These visits that have already become somewhat of a tradition are envisaged to continue in the coming years.
