Little Girl Dies After Parents Wrapped Her In Duct Tape For 2-Weeks

A COUPLE have been charged with the killing of their four-year-old daughter who died after being put to bed in a duct-tape.

Kelly Ballinger, 33, and her fiancé Matthew Longenecker, 34, were charged with murder and first-degree child abuse after binding up little Desaray each night for two weeks.

Police arrived at the home in Kalamazoo, Michigan shortly after 5am on Sunday where they found the little girl was not breathing.

CPR proved futile and the girl was pronounced dead soon after.

Her death was ruled as murder because the child’s body was covered in cuts and bruises.

Detective Sheila Goodell of the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said the girl’s face was allegedly sometimes covered with blankets or clothing as well as duct tape.

The poor little girl would be unable to move until the next day when someone would free her until the next night, a court hearing was told.

This was allegedly revealed by text messages on their couples phones.

Two other children in the home have now been put in protective custody.

Both were denied bond at their hearing yesterday.

They are due back in court on August 1.
