 Two Islamic Tutors Prosecuted For Gang-raping Two Teenage Girls


Two Islamic tutors named, Kamaledeen Alade and Hammed Adebayo, have been prosecuted by a Lagos court for gang-raping two teenage girls.
Alade, 32, and Adebayo 27,  who were founders of a quranic school, pleaded not guilty to four counts of conspiracy, rape, sexual penetration and application of charm at a Surulere Chief Magistrate’s Court.


The News Agency of Nigeria reports that, the prosecutor,  Sergeant Anthonia Osayande, alleged that Alade gang-raped the 14-year-old with another accused now at large, while he gave the 16-year-old to Adebayo to rape.
He said;
“They conspired among themselves and did have sexual intercourse turn-by-turn with the girls, after which they forcefully applied charms on the victim’s necks.’’
“One of the girls, who could not bear the pains, confessed the incident to her parents, which led to their arrest.’’
The magistrate, Aro Lambo, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case till September 26, 2017.

A group of Nigerian youngsters sponsored by Lagos State Government and their coordinator, Professor Kolawole Raheem, were Thursday, received by head of unit; Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hannu Heinonen, at Finland. The participants, whose trip was funded by Lagos State Ministry of Education, were chosen based on their outstanding performance in school. The visit, however aims at enabling the youngsters have an experience of how the Finnish society works and to offer them the possibility of bringing positive examples back to Nigeria. The participants were especially interested in matters related to environment and construction, as well as the Finnish social security and education systems. These visits that have already become somewhat of a tradition are envisaged to continue in the coming years.
