How DSS official was set ablaze in Delta

   Details have emerged on how a male school drop-out in his late 20s allegedly poured fuel on an official of the Department of State Services, DSS, and set him ablaze at Oghara, Delta State. The victim, Andrew Maduku, 43, and father of four, is an indigene of Oghara attached to the DSS office, Bayelsa State and was said to have died as a result of 86 degree burns sustained from the attack. FG removes subsidy, petrol to sell for N145 per litre

The Federal Government has finally removed subsidy from sale of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, also known as petrol with immediate effect. NNPC sources this afternoon said marketers are now free to bring in cargoes and sell, subject to meeting standard quality control. It however added that a benchmark of N145 per litre, as a recommended pump price, at which any trader, irrespective of the source of foreign exchange used to import cargo is guaranteed adequate profit.
