The West African countries of Ghana and Nigeria have an ongoing rivalry between them akin to that of siblings. From football, to politics, to entertainment, citizens of each country always want to demonstrate their superiority over the other, howbeit not in a hateful or biased manner. It is always more bants than facts. There have been several episodes, of ‘social media wars’ or ‘Twitter Fights’ between citizens of both countries that leaves us all clutching our stomach with laughter. Through it all though, it is obvious that it is all love and sport. In this post, we attempt to give reasons why Nigerians, despite the rivalry with their Ghanian counterparts, should visit the Gold Coast. Ex-Big brother Naija 2017 housemate, TBoss was always the odd one out in the house during the Saturday parties because she did not dance at all while other housemates were dancing and having a great time. Most people then reacted saying she was forming and all. Policemen attached to the Area G Police Command, Lagos State, have arrested a 36-year-old man, Mr Saka Akonda, for impregnating his wife’s 13-year-old daughter. The girl was discovered to have been put in the family way by her stepfather, just as his wife, who is the teenager’s mother, is also six months pregnant. Incidentally, the girl is five months pregnant. Akonda, a furniture maker, residing at Obawole, Iju, Lagos State, was arrested following a complaint filed by the girl’s paternal uncle. Yesterday, Akonda, who was dragged to Ogba Magistrates’ Court to face the music, said that he was so much in love with his stepdaughter. The accused said he was shocked that police could arrest him, even after he had settled the matter amicably with the girl’s biological father. Akonda, a father of two, admitted to have accepted responsibility for the underage girl’s pregnancy, stressing that he was willing and ready to take good care of her. Here’s an alleged revelation made by a Twitter user, sent to another user @MyHoeStory, it alleges that Tagbo was Caroline Danjuma’s baby daddy. The 2017 edition of the MTV EMA Awards is here and Wizkid and David are currently gunning for the Best African Act alongside other African artistes. From the list published today, American singer Taylor Swift leads the nominees list with a total of five nominations, including Best Video for  Look What You Made Me Do. The usual suspects lead the pop category, while the Best Hip Hop category is totally dominated by male acts, which include Drake, Eminem, Future, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone. Meanwhile, Rita Ora will host the award ceremony on November 12 in London, and the voting link is already up for fans to chose their favourites. So, Wizkid or Davido? We’ll see how this plays out!
