Madonna University, which is known to be a private Catholic university with stringent rules aimed at instilling discipline amongst the students, has been in total dismay following the discovery. The students, who were left in shock at the pathetic situation, have described the perpetrator of the act as wicked and heartless.

The leadership of the organised labour in Ogun State, on Wednesday, suspended the ongoing strike action. Labour leadership announced the suspension of the strike action after hours of meeting held in the Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. The meeting, which had in attendance Comrade Ayuba Wabba, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and Comrade Bobboi Kaigama of the Trade Union Congress, witnessed the signing of a communique announcing the suspension of the strike. The communique, jointly signed by labour and government representatives indicated that the State government would continue with its scheduled payment of cooperative deduction after every 90 days by paying another one month at the end of November 2016. In addition to that, it was agreed that government would immediately off set one year arrears of check off dues while outstanding gratuities will be offset with N200 million, every other month, effective from November 2016. Parents of students at a primary school in Liushi, China, have been left outraged after finding out that their daughters might have been molested during a physical exam. The female students were undergoing physical examinations on October 11 when a member of the medical staff allegedly pressed his hands on the students' chests. Physical exams are held at Liushi Elementary School every new term. Surveillance footage shows young girls in school uniforms queuing up in front of a pillar to have their heights recorded. According to reports, a height chart is painted on the pillar and the student is asked to stand upright to measure their height. A man who appears to be in his 30s and dressed in black is seen putting a ruler on a student's head. Then, both of his hands can be seen pressing onto the student's breasts. One Lucky Okeke, a suspect held for breach of the peace and assault, has allegedly beaten up two policemen who arrested him. The policemen were identified as corporals Abubakar Hussaini and Yusuf Olaitan. Iraqi men whose villages have been liberated from ISIS control have been celebrating their freedom by shaving off their beards. Government troops have advanced on the village of Gogjali, just a few hundred metres from Mosul, the last Iraqi city under control of terror group. There civilians have been taking shelter in a local mosque as soldiers go house-to house to make sure they have rooted out all of the militants from the village. And while inside the mosque, many of the men took the opportunity to shave off their facial hair, which was a requirement for all civilians living under ISIS rule. Men could be seen using clippers and even scissors to trim down their beards to celebrate their freedom.

A youth corps member was, on Wednesday, short in Warri, Delta State, by suspected armed robbers. The victim identified as Musa Kayode Noah, was allegedly shot near his waist, very close to his backbone, according to report. A woman in India was brutally beaten and left unconscious by a vigilante mob who believed she was guilty of killing her husband. Ashok Paswan, 50, died following a domestic violence incident involving his wife Usha Devi, 45, in the village of Samastipur in northern India, police said. Usha was then dragged out of her home in front of her children by a group of around 25 men. Nearly 100 people stood by and watched and no one stepped forward to help her. The village suspected her guilty of killing her husband Ashok Paswan, 50, following a domestic violence. Eventually the police took Usha to Sadar Hospital, in Samastipur, where she was admitted and treated for her injuries.

The Nigerian Naira on Wednesday remained stable against United States Dollar to close at N304.75 compared to N304.79 it exchanged for on Tuesday at the inter-bank foreign exchange market. At the Bureau De Change (BDC), window, the nation’s currency traded at N385 to a dollar, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) controlled rate, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N564 and N509 respectively. The naira, however, weakened at the parallel market, losing five points to exchange at N470, from N465 traded on Tuesday, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N565 and 510 respectively. The local currency, which had been relatively stable against the greenback, fell last week as fresh scarcity hit the forex markets.
