This morning, we heard the audio released by Sahara Reporters purported to be Rivers state governor, Wike threatening to kill an INEC official. The Rivers state government has reacted to this, saying Wike's was impersonated and blamed APC. Read the statement below... Thousands of Rivers state residents led by the state Governor, Nyesom Wike, today took to the streets to protest the alleged mass killings by the Police and other security agencies during the December 10 rerun elections. The peaceful protest march took off from Government House, Port Harcourt at 8am, moved through Azikiwe Street and Bank Road before terminating at the Rivers State Police Command headquarters on Moscow Road...   Aside Governor Wike, Deputy Governor Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Speaker Dabo Adams, Former Minister of Transport, Dr Abiye Sekibo, Former UBA Chairman, Chief Ferdinand Alabrabra, Former Deputy Governor Tele Ikuru and Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah joined the march. Also on the march, were Commissioners, State Legislators, Caretaker Committee Chairmen , women and youths. Garba Shehu, official Spokesperson to the President Buhari, is insisting that government funds were not used to pay for Zahra Buhari's wedding to Ahmed Indimi, the son of an oil billionaire. In a statement released this afternoon, Shehu insists that the President's family and personal aides paid the wedding bill. The statement reads: "Zahra Muhammadu Buhari's wedding to Ahmed Mohammed Indimi starting today is a celebrity event to savor any day. Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose on Thursday stormed the Ado-Ekiti branch of the Zenith Bank to make withdrawal from his hitherto frozen account following a Federal High Court order asking the bank to de-freeze the governor’s account. Governor Fayose who made a withdrawal of N5 million in cash thanked Nigerians for standing with him and against the recklessness of the EFCC. A Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti had on Tuesday, ordered that Governor Fayose's accounts in Zenith Bank be defrozen with immediate effect. The accounts were frozen by the EFCC in June, this year. The judge said the EFCC action breac.hed the governor's fundamental rights to fair hearing, as the commission did not make him a party to the proceedings for the interim freezing of the account. He said that the EFCC suppressed facts by not disclosing to the court that granted the interim freezing order that the two accounts that were frozen belonged to Go

Msizi Mkhize, 28, was walking home with a friend when he was hit in Kwa-Mashu, a township north of the coastal city of Durban, last week. He was declared dead at the scene of the accident then his body was transported to the Phoenix mortuary, where his body was placed in a fridge. Imran Keeka, a provincial official for the opposition Democratic Alliance party, said Tuesday: “When his family arrived for identification purposes a pulse was found in the patient by mortuary staff, who then immediately transported him to Mahatma Gandhi hospital for resuscitation,” Msizi was resuscitated by nurses and his family was informed of his resuscitation. However, five hours later, Msizi unfortunately died. Understandably, his irate family are now demanding answers.
