The former senior special assistant on public affairs to ex-president Goodluck jonathan, Doyin Okupe has joined the Accord party. Okupe, who recently left the people democratic party (PDP), went to his facebook page and said he would soon announce his formal entry to the party in Ogun state. He said; “Following various consultations with political associates, family and friends I have decided to formally join the Accord Party. My decision is based on deep reflection on who I am and what I want from politics. “To me politics does not begin and end with winning or losing elections. It’s not about big or small parties either. A Texas-based hairstylist @WithLoveLexii (Lex) has taken to her Twitter to accuse  Bobrisky  of refusing to pay up after she removed his old weave and fixed a new one. From her tweets, Lex, who apparently has been going through tumultuous times, alerted her followers that she had been contacted to make the Nigerian socialite’s hair. In an explosive rant via Snapchat, she called him out saying he wasted her time and refused to pay for her services and products used – because people give him free gifts in exchange for promotion via his social media account. African woman footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala has donated a 18 seater bus to a women club, FC Robo Queens in Lagos. Oshoala, donated the bus to her women’s youth club in Nigeria,FC Robo Queens as a birthday gift to its chairman, Emmanuel Osahon. Osahon took delivery of the bus recently. The Mercedes benz 18 seater bus was wrapped with the picture of the club players. Such a good gesture from Aishat!

A heartless father allegedly stabbed his son on the neck in a bush along Siun-Sagamu-Abeokuta Expressway but the boy survived after pretending to be dead. A father (name not yet ascertained) was reported to have stabbed his son, Favour Oyediran on Sunday, after he lured him into the bush near the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate along Siun-Sagamu-Abeokuta Expressway. The victim was living with his father, his stepmother and her two children at Abule Agbon, located between Kobape and Abeokuta. After being stabbed by his father, the 11 years old reportedly pretended to be dead before his father abandoned him in the bush. Favour crawled out of the bush and he was  been rescued by a good Samaritan, who took him to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta. A source, who pleaded anonymity, said Favour’s father always maltreated him, adding that his father allegedly claimed that the son embarrassed him “too often by reporting him to the Baale each time he is assaulted by father.

The All Progressives Congress(APC) youth renaissance group has fired a stinker at Peter Okoye of P-square for insulting the Federal government of Nigeria. The P-Square brothers and their elder brother Jude Okoye made a call-out after the Nigerian Government disclosed plans to stop movie and music video production abroad. In a statement signed by the group’s national secretary, Mr Collins Edwin, the APC described Okoye as a ‘son of darkness’. Here’s the statement; “We read the scurrilous remarks credited to Mr Peter Okoye of the Psquare group against the Federal Government’s job-saving policy in the entertainment industry with great anger and vexation.  Twitter user, Isa Ozo, shared a story of how he was robbed in the presence of policemen in Abuja. The heartbroken Twitter user, who thought he would have been protected by Police Officers when he was attacked by gunmen, has narrated how the Policemen left him to his fate. According to him, the incident happened at Masalaci Junction, Abuja and right before 3 Policemen and here’s what he tweeted;

A man whose face is permanently scarred after an acid attack from his ex-girlfriend believes that she will burn in hell because she ‘doesn’t have a soul’. Daniel Rotariu, 31, was sleeping on his bed in their Leicester home when his ex-girlfirend, Katy Leong poured 96 per pure sulphuric acid poured on him after she initially tested it on a sausage. He was rushed to the hospital where he survived the attack but was permanently scarred on his face and upper body. After being left severely disfigured, traumatised and suicidal, Mr Rotariu is now rebuilding his life with his new girlfriend, support worker Anna Catanga. In an interview on Good Morning Britain, presenter Piers Morgan asked: ‘What do you feel about the person who did this to you – your former girlfriend?’ In response, Rotariu said, ‘She is going to burn in hell, I think. She doesn’t have a soul’And I have no feelings for her.’ Leong has since been sentenced to a life imprisonment for attempted murder.

Residents of Imota in Ikorodu have apprehended a suspected female badoo member with grinding stone and charms on Monday afternoon. She was reportedly caught with some charms and grinding stone (a popular instrument of the dreaded badoo group) in an undisclosed house. According to a resident of the area who shared the video, the unidentified woman made no confession of how she was caught with the implicating items. She was saved from being lynched by the angry mob after she was taken into custody by the police who made an early arrival at the scene. See video of the suspected cultist below:

A man named Mark Hook has confessed to having sex with a dog and allowing the labrador to penetrate him. The 31 year old from Hartcliffe, who also pleaded guilty in making indecent child sex images and extreme pornographic images now faces jail. Hook who appeared at Bristol high court, admitted being guilty of making indecent images of children as well as possessing extreme pornographic images. He also admitted having intercourse with an animal, two charges of distributing indecent images of children and three charges of publishing an obscene article. The case has been adjourned to August 11 and he has been granted bail for legal preparation.

Mrs Omotayo Salawudeen, a 39-year-old housewife based in Osogbo, Osun State reveals that she killed her husband just because she wanted to. The murder suspect made this revelation to police and newsmen yesterday that she had sex with Alhaji Hakeem Salawudeen, her husband before killing him with the aid of an hired killer. Omotayo said that she regretted her action, adding that her deceased husband did nothing to warrant his death but it was just her desire to kill him. “My husband of 17 years was a good man who took care my needs and that of our three children”. “He didn’t offend me, I was just mad at him and after having sex with him, I took a pillow and covered his month and Oladapo Dolapo, the guy I hired for the job stabbed him to death”, she lamented. Dolapo, the 24-year-old suspected hired killer explained that the woman enticed him with promises of a befitting accommodation and other largesse to punish her husband by killing him. A lady gave her thanks to God as she narrated her encounter with a hissing snake while she was alighting from her husband’s car. She took to her Facebook account to share details of her God’s intervention and prompt action from her saved her from a snake which was about to attack. Kanu Nwankwo’s wife has successfully launched a new fitness book titled “Healthy Living with Amara Kanu” at Arsenal Emirates Stadium in the UK. The wife of the Nigerian football legend launched her fitness book on Friday 14th July 2017. Amara Kanu  was gorgeously dressed in a bright orange strapless dress which hugged her lithe farm in all the right places. The dress, which features a wavy bodice, was worn with a pair of burnt orange heels. Her husband,  Kanu Nwankwo , their children and parents supported the fitness enthusiast on her book launching. Also present at the event is Nollywood’s influential actress,  Omotola Jalade Ekeinde   and many others.

Ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan said Nigerians still have faith in the people democratic party(PDP) despite months of leadership crises. Jonathan said this at the expanded National Caucus of the party held  on Monday  night at Wadata House, Abuja. He said; “Nigerians still believe in the PDP because when the Supreme Court judgement was given, I was so surprised that some people called and sent text messages to me. “They are not even politicians but they are so happy that PDP is come on stream because they were worried that PDP will go down. “So, if people who are not even members of PDP are happy that PDP has now gotten a platform to operate in spite of the negative propaganda against us, it means people still believe in PDP. National Vice President of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), South- South zone, Mr. Eddie Bekom, his wife and son have died in a terrible gas explosion from a neighbor’s cooking gas. They are survived by three children, one of who is till in critical condition at the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (FETHA), Ebonyi State. Bekom  was an employee of the Cross River Broadcasting Service, Ikom until his death on Sunday evening. According to NewTelegraph, Bekom, wife and four children had been receiving treatment at the Plastic Surgery Department of the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (FETHA), Ebonyi State, for more than two weeks after their neighbour’s cooking gas exploded. Bekom’s 10-year-old boy died in the hospital few days after the explosion, while his wife died a week later, leaving him and three children behind. A former player of Arsenal youth team, Christian Toonga has been jailed for two and a half years after selling heroin and cocaine for a gang of dealers. The 19 year old midfielder was forced to work for the Custom House gang when he was arrested at a property in Sherborne, Wiltshire, last year. According to THE SUN, he helped the gang to move into the home of a woman who felt powerless to resist them. The police raided the property and he was found with three wraps of cocaine, 29 wraps of heroin, £700 and mobile phones with text messages. Toonga admitted to possessing with intent to supply class A drugs on  7 February , and he was also charged with failing to surrender to police after he was bailed.
