The senate president of Nigeria, Senator Bukola Saraki and his family have been criticized by Facebook Users, for their dressing. The family portrait photo, which was taken on the only son of the family, Seni saraki’s graduation day, has been greatly frowned upon. The picture showing the senate president’s daughters dressed in a short gown exposing her thighs and cleavage did not go well with some people. The Facebook users believe Bukola Saraki as a Baba Adinni of the Ilorin Central mosque should imbibe the Muslim mode way of dressing to the family. A female underwear was found at the law student’s library in the university of Lagos. The photo has been trending on social media since Thursday. The black/red underwear,which was found among old books in one of the shelves, caught the attention of a student who went to the library to read. According to comments of the post, the underwear might have been forgotten out of panic by some lovers, who were having a quickie. They also added that the law student’s library is currently being used for sexual activities by students and members of staff.

The Lagos Government has announced restriction of movement on July 22nd, which is the local government election day. The election, which will hold across the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across the state will take place on Saturday, July 22nd. In a press release by the commissioner of information and strategy, Steve Ayorinde. He said; The restriction of movement across the state will be enforced between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday July 22, to allow for a smooth conduct of the polls and unhindered participation. We hope it becomes a free and fair election.

Peter of Psquare has decided to renounce citizenship if the federal Government implement the plan to stop entertainers from shooting music videos and movies abroad. Peter took to his twitter page and wrote that he is ashamed to be a Nigerian. He added that the entertainers are the ones trying to cover our black image, since the government has been failing since 1960. Vivian Ezechila, wife a Redeemed Christian Church of God pastor who recently lost her husband and two sons after a container fell on their vehicle while coming back from the monthly Holy Ghost service of the church, has lamented her loss. In an interview with Punch, the bereaved wife questioned the Christian stereotype that when a man dies, he has ended his race on earth. She noted that even if that could be said of her husband, the death of her two sons is unfathomable. Speaking on the numbers of children she had, the 49-year-old mother said: “Four. Two died while two are still alive. A car was seen submerged in flood after hours of heavy rainfall this morning in Ugbowo in Benin city, Edo state. The vehicle was reportedly abandoned by the driver who got stuck in the massive flood which ravaged the area. Other properties in the area have also been reported to be affected by the flood – which have made the region a no-go area.

Eight football fans have been killed after a wall collapsed during the Senegalese Cup final. The tragedy occurred during the match between USO and Stade de Mbour at the Demba Diop stadium in Dakar. Fighting reportedly broke out between rival supporters, which allegedly led to the panic. The score was 1-1 after the initial 90 minutes but when Mbour scored in extra-time to make it 2-1 when violence broke out. A cloud of gas, thought to be tear gas, led to people climbing over a low wall as panic spread. Ambulances and firefighters are reported to have attended the scene after a stampede broke out.

An eyewitness reports that an accident happened along Enugu-Onitsha express way after FRSC officials were in hot pursuit of a vehicle and it resulted in an accident. The shocking part was that the Road Safety officials drove away from the scene without attempting to rescue the passengers who miraculously survived. See his report below… Saw this accident scene at the Ugwu onyeama segment of the enugu – onitsha express way earlier. The car in the ditch fell in there while trying to get away from a team of FRSC officials who were following him in a hot pursuit. Regrettably the officers abandoned the occupants to their own fate and fled the scene though amazingly the occupants survived without life threatening injuries. These are sad realities of what state our dear country is in, where citizens are law breakers and law enforcement agents are indisciplined. We shall overcome. See photos from the accident below…

Nollywood actors, Odunlade Adekola and Bolaji Amusan were attacked by armed robbers as they were returning from a Glo Music show in Ijebu-Ode. According to reports, their cars ran into the armed robbers who had laid siege along Ilishan-Sagamu road. Mr Latin narrated the ordeal to PREMIUM TIMES this morning saying, “we left Ijebu-Ode after the show and heading to Abeokuta, when at about 7.30 p.m. we ran into the armed robbers already stationed themselves on the road,” he said. He explained that Odunlade was driving ahead of his car when he sighted the road block by the bandits. Odunlade attempted to make a detour, but the bandits rained‎ bullets on the tyres forcing the car to a halt, he explained. Mr Latin, who drove in his Toyota Camry behind Odunlade’s Toyota Avensis, said he and his colleague, alongside some of their aides, had to abandon their vehicles and run into the bush. He said they were in the bush for almost two hours, while the bandits ransacked their vehicles,

Eyewitnesses who spoke with SUNDAY PUNCH said the speaker the order was given when the FRSC officers stopped the Sport Utility Vehicle his wife was travelling in along the Umuikaa/Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway. “WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED (BY THE FRSC OFFICIALS), THE DRIVER REFUSED TO STOP, ONLY FOR HIM TO STOP AT A DISTANCE. “THE DRIVER REVERSED THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT A WOMAN IN THE PASSENGER SEAT IN FRONT, IS AN OFFICER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE SERVICES ATTACHED TO THE GOVERNOR’S WIFE. “THE DSS OFFICER RAN TOWARDS THE OFFICER WHO STOPPED THE VEHICLE, HELD HIM BY UNIFORM AND DRAGGED HIM TO THE GROUND, ACCUSING HIM OF HITTING THEIR VEHICLE.” The source further added that the speaker’s wife joined the policemen to beat the official. “ONE OF THEM CALLED THE SPEAKER WHOSE
