Lagos State Police Command has arrested a police officer alongside 18 suspected hoodlums for allegedly causing chaos along Burma Road in Apapa area of the state. In a statement released by the state’s police spokesperson, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, the command received a distress call from the Chief Security Officer, CSO of a new generation bank located in the area. “The caller said hoodlums were trying to take laws into their hands by setting the bank ablaze following the shooting of a tank driver by a policeman, attached to the bank after a altercation.” he said. Famous-Cole said operatives of the command including the Area Commander Apapa, the Rapid Response Squad, RRS and other security agents quickly rushed to the scene to take charge of the situation. The state’s Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, was also present at the scene of the incident. Celebrity blogger Linda Ikeji was really full of joy as her younger sister Laura Ikeji gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. The winner of the recent Osun State By-Election senator Ademola Adeleke, who is also the uncle of Nigerian musician Davido, while speaking in an interview with National Assembly TV said he love for dancing is a form of exercise.   Two Islamic tutors named, Kamaledeen Alade and Hammed Adebayo, have been prosecuted by a Lagos court for gang-raping two teenage girls. Alade, 32, and Adebayo 27,  who were founders of a quranic school, pleaded not guilty to four counts of conspiracy, rape, sexual penetration and application of charm at a Surulere Chief Magistrate’s Court. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that, the prosecutor,  Sergeant Anthonia Osayande, alleged that Alade gang-raped the 14-year-old with another accused now at large, while he gave the 16-year-old to Adebayo to rape. He said; “They conspired among themselves and did have sexual intercourse turn-by-turn with the girls, after which they forcefully applied charms on the victim’s necks.’’ “One of the girls, who could not bear the pains, confessed the incident to her parents, which led to their arrest.’’ The magistrate, Aro Lambo, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum and adjour

  A hard drug dealer named David Blackmon detained after he called 911 to report a stolen bag of cocaine. David Blackmon 32, on sunday, called 911 to report a robbery in Fort Walton Beach. He reportedly told the police that someone stole $50 and a quarter ounce of cocaine from the center console in his car. The officer spotted some cocaine and a crack rock on the console and a crack pipe on the floorboard by the driver’s side door. Blackmon is charged with possession of cocaine and resisting arrest without violence. The suspect was later released from jail on Tuesday but records did not list a lawyer.
