A man has married his pet snake because he believes his dead girlfriend came back to life as the cobra. The snake was spotted by the man in South East Asia, who said it bore a 'striking resemblance' to his former lover. He and the 10ft serpent now spend every day together watching TV, sharing romantic picnics by the lake, playing board games and going to the gym as a couple. The man is understood to have taken the Buddhist theory that people are reincarnated as animals. He lost his girlfriend five years ago, but photos have shown he and his new wife are very happy together.

It was a moment of joy in Alabama, South Africa, after twin paramedic brothers Dion and Dean Witkoei, helped a pregnant woman deliver her twin girls! Both families said what happened was a sign of much greater things to happen in their future. Dion and Dean (28) told Daily Sun they were off duty and relaxing after their Saturday night shift when a man came knocking at their door. “It was at about 8am when we heard someone knocking frantically. We found a man who lives on the same street as us. He asked us to rush to his place,” said Dean. “They ran to the man’s house where they found his heavily pregnant wife ready to deliver. “It was too late to get her to hospital and we helped her deliver the twins with ease. “Afterwards we called an ambulance and the lovely newborn girls were transported to Klerksdorp Hospital where they were assessed and admitted. “We’re very proud of ourselves.            A 62-year-old man, Adesanya Akanni, is seeking the dissolution of his 32-year-old marriage to Florence Akani, over religious differences. Adesanya Akanni approached a Lagos Island Customary Court, Lagos on Thursday complaining that wife’s continued practice of her Christian faith was adversely affecting the family. The petitioner claimed that his marital problems started about 26-years ago, when his wife, Florence resumed the practice of her Christian faith. He also alleged that she changed the names of their five children to Christian names without his consent. Akanni said, “Our five children were given Muslim names at birth, Kaosara, 32, Kudirat, 25, Mubarak, 22, Azeez, 19 and Musa, 17. “Their mother and the Church she attends, have now changed their names to Oluwatomi, Victoria, Oluwasegun, Oluwarotimi and Peter respectively. “I did not know until I went to the school of my last two boys to ask for Azeez and Musa but officials of the school claim

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today November 11th, 2016 secured the conviction of one Abdulmajid Abdulkareem before Honourable Justice Farouq Lawal of the Kano State High Court. The convict was sentenced to serve twelve months imprisonment with option of N30,000 (Thirty Thousand Naira Only) fine on the one count ammended charge of cheating. Abdulmajid was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on the 30th day of October, 2014 on a three count charge of obtaining under false pretense, forgery and using as genuine. Upon his arraignment, the convict pleaded not guilty but during the caurse of trial, the convict approached the commission with a plea bargain agreement and subsequently changed his plea in today's proceeding from not guilty to guilty. This is 'creatively outrageous'. A reckless van driver has been caught on camera pulling up alongside a woman to hand over his phone number - while driving at 70mph on the M5 near Exeter. A footage uploaded online shows the driver winding down his window to hand over his business card to an 18-year-old in a car in the next lane. A teenage girl, Sophie Becks, filmed the scene in her friend Chelsea Wallace's car, reports The Exeter Express & Echo. Sophie said they were driving near Exeter when the brief encounter happened.

An identical twin who was born with a rare condition that caused her brain to grow outside of her skull has defied doctors by surviving. Aniyah Todd, had only 10 per cent of her brain and was diagnosed with encephalocele - and her family were warned she would likely die. Surgeons were forced to remove the majority of her brain tissue during a life-saving operation when she was just a day old. But her parents Charlotte Youds, 20, and Will, 20, from Liverpool, were told to plan palliative care to prepare for her death. However, Aniyah refused to give up. Just six days after she was born, she was discharged and reunited with her twin sister Sophia. And last week she turned four-months-old, defying all medical odds to make it this far.
