The Obama administration says there is no evidence of hackers tampering with the 2016 presidential election

President-elect, Donald Trump's opponent, the Green Party's 2016 presidential candidate, Jill Stein demanded a vote recount in Wisconsin, a Democratic state that he won, citing inconsistencies in the votes. But the Obama administration has said there was no evidence of the elections been tampered with or hacked.
Jill Stein who didn't get enough votes to be on the ballot paper said:

“After a divisive and painful presidential race, reported hacks into voter and party databases and individual email accounts are causing many American to wonder if our election results are reliable. These concerns need to be investigated before the 2016 presidential election is certified. We deserve elections we can trust.”
However, according to Politico, the Obama administration said it has seen no evidence of hackers tampering with the 2016 presidential election, even as recount proceedings began in Wisconsin.
Politico reported that the Obama administration said:
“We stand behind our election results, which accurately reflect the will of the American people,” a senior administration official told POLITICO late Friday. “The federal government did not observe any increased level of malicious cyber activity aimed at disrupting our electoral process on election day,” the official added. “We believe our elections were free and fair from a cybersecurity perspective.”
Hillary Clinton also denies that there was any foul play with the election results but her team still joined Stein in the recount process in Wisconsin.

The recounts in all three states, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania need to be done by Dec. 13th 2016 for it to be considered ..which seems highly unlikely.

Real Madrid, Croatia Star Luka Modric Wins 2018 Ballon d'Or

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric was awarded the 2018 Ballon d'Or on Monday, becoming the first player not named Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to earn the honor since 2007.  Modric, 33, beat out Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann, respectively, for the illustrious prize. Both Ronaldo and Messi had won it five times apiece over a 10-year run, and all three men were named to France Football's 30-player shortlist in October. Messi's fifth-place finish is his worst since 2006 and it comes despite leading Barcelona to La Liga and Copa del Rey titles. The midfielder adds the award to his list of others accolades received this year, including UEFA Best Player, FIFA Best Men's Player and the Golden Ball at the World Cup. Modric helped Real Madrid win its third straight Champions League title earlier this year before taking Croatia to its first World Cup appearance. Croatia's captain scored two goals, had one assist and led the tournament in minutes played and mile
